India ISM 2017 – Academic Learning by Raghu Tirukkovaluri:

India ISM Program is designed specifically, to learn the Software Engineering, with theory and practical examples.

Scrum with a hands on project.

DevOps –  with practical examples from the projects

Day 9:

Software Maintenance

Enhancements and Bug fixing

Incident Management (IM) and Service Level Management (SLM)

Day 10:

Visited one of the software development centers in Bengaluru and met with the management team.

The executive coach (Dr Jain) gave us an overview of their training program to the upper management.

The Marketing Vice President (Balaji) gave us an history and evolution of the company and the knowledge management

executive (Padma),  gave us an overview of how they manage their lessons learned as a feed back to their business.

This is a valuable experience for me, as it gave me an opportunity to look at the inner workings of a software giant in India.

This program helped me get an overview of the entire spectrum of Software Engineering, with theory and practical examples.

I work for the largest electric power holding companies in the United States, supplying and delivering electricity to over 7 million U.S. customers. The intense learning program helped me in advancement of my career, to a Senior Systems Architect position, at my company.

I would highly recommend this class, if you are interested in software engineering, in general OR looking for any IT related positions, in particular.
