My name is Peter and I am studying abroad in London during the Spring 2017 semester. I have had an amazing time so far and made lifelong friends here in London and even from the States. Last week, I toured a neighboring district in town — Notting Hill. This affluent part of West London is located in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea near my campus. I have yet to understand why they thought it would be a brilliant idea to place multitudes of foreign students in the most posh part of town. Can’t even complain!
At the start of this week, two new friends and I decided to go to SoHo, Piccadilly Circus, and Camden. We had lunch at a Turkish restaurant and I had the BEST lamb dish I have ever tasted. Istanbul is on my travel list so it was nice getting a “taste” of what’s to come. Later that night, I made some new French friends. (I hope you read that as “French fries” because that’s what I accidentally typed at first — how embarrasing.) It was so great chatting with them and seeing how much of a melting pot London truly is.
This is just the start of my journey and I cannot wait to share more of this once in a lifetime adventure with you. Cheers!
